File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is used to send files from one computer to another.
Fineline Printing recommends using FTP to transfer files to us that are larger than 10MB.
Please choose your system type:
PC Instructions
- Step 1: Setting up an Account (New users only)
Contact Fineline Printing on (03) 8791 4200 or sales@finelineprinting.com.au and request an account to be
set up. You will be emailed your secure a username and password.
- Step 2: Launch your browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc)
- Step 3: Connecting to Fineline Printing
Open this address: ftp://ftp.finelineprinting.com.au - once connected, you will see a box, similar to the one
below:

- If you do not connect, consult your Network Administrator or contact us on (03) 8791 4200 or
sales@finelineprinting.com.au.
- Step 4: Enter your username and password
- Step 5: Uploading Files
Compress your files before you upload to save time. Drag and drop or copy and paste into Explorer.
Copying will commence.Upon successful transfer contact us to advise completion of file transfer.

Mac Instructions
- Step 1: Setting up an Account

- Step 2: Connecting to Fineline Printing
- OS9: Under the Apple menu go to Network Browser, select Connect to Server
and go to ftp://ftp.finelineprinting.com.au and click Connect.
- OSX: Press Apple + K and enter address as above.
You will be prompted for your User Name and Password.
- OSX 10.2 and higher: Native FTP on these operating systems is read only.
You require a third party client to send and receive files, such as:
Filezilla - http://filezilla-project.org
Fetch, by Fetch Softworks - http://fetchsoftworks.com
Transmit, by Panic, Inc. - http://www.panic.com/transmit
- Step 3: Uploading Files
Compress your files before upload to save time. Drag and drop into the window.
Copying will commence. Upon successful transfer contact us to advise completion of file transfer.
